Designed to provide the very best creative stimulus, training and exploratory space for actors, dancers and movements specialists alike. They are always rich in practical experience with just the right amount of challenge and stretch to coax you out of your comfort zone and invite you to play and develop with other professionals.

In this three hour workshop we will be embodying the Tanztheater philosophy by combining authenticity and depth of thought and movement with technical precision and pervasive improvisation. Perfect for anyone looking to finesse their interpretation of deep emotion through movement.
DANCING THE IMPULSE: BUTOH AND THE ART OF TRANSFORMATION

In this workshop Marie will look specifically at the body giving itself over to unconscious movement. Imagery and techniques from Butoh introduce the idea of energy or forces moving through the body as well as from outside the body, using either touch or poetic images to manifest bodily transformation.
Character Embodiment

How do you approach a role? What physical choices do you research and consider when building a character? Movement Director & Movement Coach Sarah Perry will lead the workshop focusing primarily on the body and movement as a tool for performance and character embodiment.
We will look at things like: how characters walk, behave, gesture; how to work with injuries & conditions, how to manifest characters’ states, thoughts and feelings through the body and generally how to use our bodies to communicate more effectively.
